Western Rodeo Queen Studio Portraits with Colter Unwin: Sass, Glitter, Glam, and Hunting in Laramie, Wyoming

| |

Have you ever met a woman who can hunt as well as she can win your heart over with one look? Meet Colter Unwin, a modern day cowgirl who has as much sass and talent as she does beauty.  Not only does Colter hold the title as former Miss Laramie Jubilee Days in 2015 and Miss Range Arena 2016, she is also the co-owner of the Windy City Pet Store in Laramie, Wyoming PLUS she is studying animal science and business administration at the University of Wyoming, takes care of 8 horses, and might take down an elk with her pink bow and arrow on her day off, too.  When Colter came into the studio for her portrait session in historic downtown Laramie, Wyoming with a big white feather in her  beautiful handcrafted Cowboy hat from Greeley Hat Works, we knew we would have to do a rodeo queen style headshot on our ultimate glamour silver sequin backdrop, but who says Wyoming women who love glitter and glam can’t be equally as beautiful in full hunters camouflage? Here on the high plains of Wyoming where wild horses still roam through the ranches, women are as strong as they are sassy.  Inspired by the old west and Colters classic and timeless Western beauty, we gave Colter a portrait as a vintage old time Western photo as our signature edit as a throwback to the old wild west days, which in some ways still haven’t changed. It was an honor to photograph Colter who’s radiant confidence is truly beautiful inside and out!
